Reflect: Wearing Many Hats

Annie wrote about her mindset with all of the aspects of her dance life. Each dancer must figure out his/her own way to juggle, wear multiple hats, find the connections between various jobs, and more. Take some time to reflect on your current dance life or future dance life. How might you approach holding many roles and responsibilities within your dance career? Will you approach them separately or look for ways for one job to feed another? Do things blend or are they best compartmentalized?

Discuss: On Teaching

In a course, discuss Annie's statement: "If you want to have a life as a dancer, you will teach. Recognize teaching as a craft that takes the same level of attention, skill and practice that your physical practice has taken."
