As we wrap up the second academic year with the Life as a Modern Dancer Blog being used in college courses around the United States, I am thrilled with the readership of the blog. College undergraduates are reading current, heartfelt, and helpful stories by artists from around the country. Artists of all ages are also enjoying the blog.

As the year progressed, I added new features to the blog – resources for future teaching artists, reflection questions, and examples of dancers’ weekly schedules.

Heading into summer, it is now the time for me to gather the new artists for the coming 2014-2015 academic year. Stayed tuned for more profiles and thought-provoking stories in mid-August.
