Dancer: Jill Randall

City: Berkeley, CA

I am a dance teaching artist. This is a “yes/and” conversation. It is a dynamic relationship. I love my teaching work each week with teens, and I love my work as a performer. Together, we share, make, create, consider, reflect, and celebrate the power of dance in our lives and community. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love both roles.

Jill Homan Randall is a teaching artist, performer, and writer. She has performed extensively with Nina Haft & Company, Paufve Dance, Dana Lawton, and Martt Lawrence. Jill teaches at The Hamlin School in San Francisco. She maintains several blogs, including Life as a Modern Dancer and Dancing Words.

Jill earns 99% of her income from teaching work. The other 1% is from performing stipends and writing stipends.
