Finding the right schedule that works for myself as an artist seems to be just as hard as dance itself. From week to week I have different classes, rehearsals, and jobs while trying to balance a personal and social life on top of it all. My biggest challenge is trying not to overload myself physically and mentally. I enjoy the push and rigor to get as much done as possible, but then I start to cut corners. Certain elements of my life and work start to lose their attention and quality. I jump into my next week, teaching nineteen classes, holding three rehearsals, and running one audition. I smile knowing I get to call my passion my job, but after all that, I'm taking a couple days off!
