Creativity & Technique Practitioner Exchange

Tuesday, 6/14, 4:30-6pm, $15-40 sliding scale, free to PL users

Peer educators gather to explore issues of practice & get inspired at these soft-facilitated group discussions.  For Dance Teaching Artists curious about how creativity and technique can support each other in the same curriculum.

Summer Institute 2016

Monday, July 22-29, 9-5:30 each day, by application only

Luna’s Summer Institute brings six dance teaching artists and six classroom teachers/practitioners together to activate and inspire individual and collective imaginations. Participants will work together to create, expand or improve comprehensive dance education programs at NO COST to those selection. Join us for a great week of learning at Mills College followed by a year of coaching and collegial support.

Developing and Implementing Dance Curricula-A

Monday, 8/1 – Friday 8/5, 9:00-5:30pm, $525

First level foundations series covers elements of dance (both H’Doubler and Laban); structuring discrete dance lessons aligned with National Core Arts Standards; integrating dance across subject matter; human development theory; and more. No pre-requisite.

Professional Library Hours & Free Consultations

Offering more than 500 books, articles, videos & electronic media. Open Tuesdays from 4-6pm & by appointment (closed June 21 until September); PL users by appointment only.

Free 20-30 min consultations offered on 3/22. RSVP to jperena@lunadanceinstitute.org.

Studio Rental

Luna’s beautiful West Berkeley studio, 605 Addison Street, is available for rehearsal or workshop rentals. Please send inquiries to abonilla@lunadanceinstitute.org.
