Today's post comes from San Francisco Bay Area dancer Patricia West. Patricia teaches dance at the Berkwood Hedge School as well as through her work with the Joe Goode Performance Group.

Here are a few of my favorites for K-5 dance classes.

-Up in the Air Soundtrack

I particularly like the "Security Ballet" by Rolfe Kent and have used it for a piece the students performed.

-A Six Degrees Collection: Asian Travels

I've used pieces on this cd for classes and performances.

-Ramon and Jessica's CD titled Handyman's Honeymoon

I know one of the artists, Jesse Olsen, as he lives here in the Bay Area. My favorite song on this album for a warm up is "5 & not 6." It also lends itself for some singing while dancing when the vocals come in.
