Our workshops are designed to explore special topics with some of the most innovative contemporary artists working in dance and theater. We have two different workshops that we provide each summer.
Professional Workshop (2 weeks)
July 18-29, 2016
The goal of this intensive is to develop and hone the skills necessary to be a technically proficient, creatively motivated, and artistically expressive professional dancing artist. Areas explored include Contemporary Technique, Repertory, Improvisation + Choreography, Laban Movement Analysis, Integrated Ballet, and Creative Process. Studio time and mentorship are available for dancers to explore their own choreography as well as professional development seminars that support various aspects of a career in dance. The workshop culminates in a performance, offering an opportunity to apply the skills explored throughout the Move-It Intensive. University credit is available.

Teacher Workshop (1 week)
July 25-29, 2016
Ririe-Woodbury's Teacher Workshop is designed for teachers who are working in the university, professional, and/or secondary school settings. Shared experiences in technique, improvisation, choreography, and body conditioning will provide participants the opportunity for artistic growth and rejuvenation. The participants will address the Utah State Core Curriculum requirements, trends in the field and issues of dance training and dance making in order to increase and elevate the skills and practices of teaching in the field.
