My name is Caroline Eskew, and I just graduated with my BFA from the University of Utah’s Department of Modern Dance. I signed up as an intern for Salt Dance Fest for the second time because it is hosted by an incredible department that I am comfortably nested in, and the work done at the festival is and has been historically successful. I am moving to Brooklyn in September, so this festival offered affordability and ease.

I am exhausted already! I took the month of May to recoup and recover from a grueling final semester, and, while it did service me for the month of May, I find I have to manually move my head to look in any direction besides straight (thank you, Alex Ketley’s Hot Mess). That said, the feeling of shredded muscles and the yearning for growth is unanimous.
