exterior/exit

a movement poem for April 4, 2020 by Jill Randall

shiver

brush off

remove yourself

next chapter

new day,

morning

peel yourself off the floor

rain boots on

zipped

up,

contained

forward motion

then meander

attempting a new route,

for today

Hello!

-Today I would like to suggest two music selections for today from the same album = "As 6 (5 77)" by Michael Wall; it is #8 on this playlist. Plus, "5 75," which is #7 on this playlist.

-May I suggest doing a quick first read of the poem and then placing the music on? Sketch out and play with the images and words that you capture from this first reading.

-Read the poem again. Let's play with forward motion, meandering, and new routes for a few minutes. Pathways and locomotion.

-Take a few minutes to compose a short movement phrase for the whole poem. Explore level changes and mapping out the sections within your space. Play with using both music selections, which have very different feelings to them.
