Ten Resources for Teaching Artists as We Prepare for the New School Year (#4)

Today I wanted to mention a great publication to subscribe to as well as browse online – Dance Studio Life Magazine. I began reading DSL about two years ago myself.

Whether you teach at a studio, K-12 school, or college, there are interesting articles and resources in every issue. The writers cover dance all around the country, and contributors to the magazine include writers such as Elizabeth Zimmer, Rachel Berman, and Ann Murphy. In the August 2016 issue, I enjoyed reading about dance programs for boys, new book resources, and adjunct positions in colleges.

As the new school year begins, consider asking your employer to purchase a yearly subscription for $35.95 or treat yourself to a subscription.

Also, spend 10 minutes browsing the site and reading the content available online. You can browse content from previous months, such as from July 2016 here.
